Medtronic & Mindray

About this collaboration

Collaboration focus
Integrating Medtronic advanced monitoring parameters directly into Mindray patient monitoring platforms for the ASC setting
Key leaders
Blake Tatum (Monitoring) and Mike Lessick (Mindray)
Portfolio scope
Four integrated Medtronic monitoring technologies on one Mindray platform: Nellcor™ pulse oximetry, Microstream™ capnography, BIS™ brain monitoring, and INVOS™ regional oximetry

The story

As ambulatory surgery centers take on higher-acuity cases and more complex procedures, monitoring decisions are becoming long-term infrastructure decisions. Medtronic acute care and monitoring's expanded collaboration with Mindray North America extends a long-standing hospital relationship into ambulatory surgery, integrating advanced monitoring technologies onto a single platform.

Their approach? Integrate industry-leading Medtronic parameters directly into Mindray's patient monitoring platforms as they are installed, so ASCs can open and operate as though they were in the hospital. The platform is modular and plug and play, letting centers activate only the technologies that fit their case mix and add parameters over time as complexity grows.

"This is not a one-time announcement. It's an ongoing innovation partnership."

The results

One system to manage

Lower total cost of ownership

Faster access to innovation

Simplified purchasing, implementation, and support

A single source of truth

Their framework for ASC monitoring decisions

Choose a platform, not a point solution. Selecting a monitoring platform is about choosing an integrated foundation that can adapt as procedures become more complex, workflows evolve, and patient populations change. So it simplifies care today while preparing the ASC for what is next.
